今朝も美濃和紙の里より“美濃と和紙を元氣にする”お知らせです。
この新コロナウィルス感染症の影響で和紙の注文も一気に減ってしまい。。。
4月は、早々に和紙製造部門を休業させておりましたが、
久しぶりに和紙を抄く為に抄紙機を稼働させました！
本日抄いた和紙は、
「マニラ麻の落水和紙」
フィリピン産のマニラ麻はバショウ科で、
アサ科である日本の麻（大麻）とは異なりますが、
和紙の業界で麻紙といえば、ほとんどの場合は「マニラ麻」を指します。

そのマニラ麻の原麻をカットしたものだけで抄いた和紙に、
落水（シャワーなどで水滴模様をつける伝統技法）を打ったものが、今回の「マニラ麻の落水和紙」です。
とても丈夫で、素材感もあるため、
和紙の照明やあかりアートや壁紙をはじめ、
使う方のアイデアひとつで、様々な使い方が可能です♬
